Our community standards of conduct
Rooted in Dignity
Everything we do returns to a single promise: every person deserves dignity. These Terms of Dignity describe how we hold ourselves and one another accountable in every space connected to Journey to Root.
Respect for Everyone
We expect kindness, honesty, and respect in our programs, events, and online spaces. Discrimination, harassment, exploitation, or abuse of any kind has no place in our community.
Safety of Vulnerable People
The safety and wellbeing of vulnerable women, children, and adoptees always comes first. Everyone who works with or represents Journey to Root follows our safeguarding standards without exception.
Transparency & Accountability
We are accountable to the communities we serve, to our donors, and to the authorities under which we are legally registered. We report openly on our work and welcome questions.
Careful Use of Stories
Personal stories are a gift. We only share them with the storyteller's knowledge and consent, and we protect the identity and privacy of everyone we serve.
